Obituary for Helen Berniece White

Helen Berniece White, of Edgar Springs, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the age of 89. Helen was known as “Nanny” to all who knew her.
She was born on July 22, 1928 in Craddock, MO to the late James Alfred Roseberry and Katherine (Esmond) Roseberry. On July 26, 1946, she married Glen Alton White who preceded her in death on January 1, 2002.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert.
Nanny worked in the accounting department at UMR for many years before retiring.
Nanny will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: three daughters, Nadra Curtis and husband Danny of Slater, MO, Nita Fields of Edgar Springs, MO and Norisa White of Edgar Springs, MO; six grandchildren, Susan Kennedy and husband Billy, Katherine James and husband Joe, David Fields, Delaney Fields, Neal White and wife Crystal, Nikki White-Bhardwaj and husband Paras; and nine great grandchildren, Alyssa Kennedy, Ryan Kennedy, J.D. James, Jesse James, Elizabeth Shipley, Hailey Cates, Namisha White, Nakisha White and Wyatt White.
Nanny was loved by two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A funeral service for Helen B. “Nanny” White will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Roseberry Cemetery in rural Phelps County. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Null and Son Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
