Obituary for Stephen Robert Adam

Stephen Robert Adam, lifelong resident of Rolla, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at the age of 67.

He was born in Waynesville, MO on August 9, 1950 to the late Herman and Pauline (Wylie) Adam.

On July 17, 1976 he married Donna Chaney, who survives.

Steve enjoyed operating his cattle farm in rural Rolla for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a conservationist at heart.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served honorably during the Vietnam War and a life-long member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Bates.

Steve will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife of 41 years, Donna Adam, of Rolla; four brothers, Marvin Adam and wife Carol, David Adam, both of Rolla, Jerry Adam and wife Gloria, of Forsyth, MO, and Randy Adam, of Rolla; three sisters, Varonica Ragan, Cindy Shults and husband Phil, and Melody Glick and husband Tim, all of Rolla; brother-in-law, Ed Chaney, of Rolla; a host of nieces and nephews, other extended family members and many dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating Steve's life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service Wed. beginning at noon at Null and Son.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
