Obituary for Virginia P. "Polly" Schlueter

Virginia P. “Polly” Schlueter,of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 78.
She was born on December 2, 1939 in Jefferson County, MO to the late James Cecil Knowles and Zola Ellen (English) Knowles. On June 11, 1973, she married Kenneth Schlueter in Poplar Bluff, MO.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Cecil Knowles, Jr. and Robert Joseph Knowles.
Polly was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Vichy. She loved cooking and discussing politics.
Polly will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her husband, Kenneth J. Schlueter of Rolla; three brothers, William E. Knowles and wife Katherine of Hazelwood, MO, Jerry Knowles and wife Charlotte of Rolla, MO, and David Knowles and wife Linda of Vichy, MO; one sister, Mary Morgan and husband John W. of Atlanta, GA; a brother-in-law, Larry Schlueter and friend Jan Colesburg of IA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Virginia P. “Polly” Schlueter will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Pentecostal Church of Vichy.
