Obituary for Lovera J. Baird

Lovera J. Baird, of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 87.
She was born in Andrews, TX on May 10, 1930 to the late Virgil W. and Ernestine (Moore) Jackson.
On July 25, 1952 she married Thomas B. Baird and they were later blessed with four children.
Lovera was a longtime, faithful and active member of the Rolla Church of Christ where she taught and served in children's ministries for fifty years. She was also an active member of the T.O.P.S. organization for many years. She retired from “The Frame Shop” in Rolla where she had worked for nineteen years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by four sisters, Jane Davis, Zorita Faris, Maude McMains and Ginger Burress and one brother, Virgil Walter Jackson Jr.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes her husband of sixty-five years, Thomas B. Baird Sr., of their home in Rolla; four children, Thomas B. Baird Jr. of Gulfport, MS, Timothy Baird and wife Debbie of Searcy, AR, Jean March and husband Randy of Littleton, CO, and James Baird and wife Alison of Searcy, AR; one brother, Donald Jackson of Washington State; one sister, Geneva Gilbraith also of Washington; eleven grandchildren, Andrew, Robert and Gregory Baird, Steven, Daniel, and David Baird, Heath March, Deanna Nunley and Hannah March, Patrick and Philip Baird; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Lovera Baird will be held at 2 pm Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Rolla Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday, December 9th at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jackson-Baird Endowed Scholarship Fund at Harding University.
