Obituary for Roberta C. Mace

Roberta Corwin “Bobbie” Mace, of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 88.
She was born in Dillon, MO on June 23, 1929 to the late Charles David Ray and Thelma Lucille (Ellis) Ray.
On February 4, 1948, in Anutt, MO, she married Wayne Mace who preceded her in death on November 17, 1986.
Bobbie retired from the Rolla Public School System where she worked as a supervisor over the cafeteria at Truman Elementary. She was a member of the Rolla Church of Christ. Mrs. Mace was an accomplished cook, her rolls, biscuits and pies were requested often. She was also an accomplished quilter and member of the Norman Valley Busy Bee Quilting Club. She served as superintendent of Adams Sunday School for forty-three years. Bobbie was also active in the Democratic Party. She served as an election judge for the North and South Meramec District in Phelps County for many years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles E. Ray and her sister, Shirley R. Ray.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes two daughters, Donna Haynes and husband Bill, of Rolla, and Dana Hotaling and husband Bill, also of Rolla; four grandchildren, Lisa Hartley and husband Dennis, of Rolla, Matt Haynes and wife Michelle, of St. Peters, MO, Amanda Carnessali and husband Bud of St. James, and Dustin Hotaling and wife Coral, of Pensacola, FL; seven great grandchildren, Tessa Hartley, Mya, Maddy, and Molly Haynes, Haylee and Levi Carnessali and Loxley Hotaling; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service for Roberta “Bobbie” Mace will be held at 1 pm Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 pm Sunday, February 11th at Null and Son.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Adams Sunday School.
