Obituary for Juanita A. Bailey

Juanita A. Bailey, lifelong Rolla resident, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 84.
She was born in Rolla on November 4, 1933 to the late Irving D. Perry Sr. and Catherine (Holm) Perry.
In 1950, Juanita married Jim E. Bailey who preceded her in death.
Juanita always maintained a beautiful yard and was also gifted in vegetable and flower gardening. She was often seen working in her garden. Her greatest passion however was as a caregiver to family and friends, from children to the elderly.
She worked many years as the cook for the Sigma PI Fraternity and was a longtime member of the Ridgeview Christian Church in Rolla.
In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her infant son Frederick D. Bailey and son Jimmy E. Bailey Jr. She is also preceded in death by her infant sister, Linda Jean Perry, sisters, Catherine Harris and Ida Newkirk and brother, William “Bill” Perry.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Gene Gabriele, Grace and Bill Prouty, all of Rolla, and Carolyn and Fred Lavery of Largo, FL; one brother, Irving “Danny” Perry Jr. and wife Beverly of Hot Springs, AR; aunt, Eleanor Sutton of Rolla; a sister-in-law, Sherry Perry of Truman, AR; a host of nieces and nephews, other extended family members and many dear friends.
A funeral service for Juanita Bailey will be held at 10 am Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 29th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Ridgeview Christian Church.
