Obituary for Mark Stephen Cunningham

Mark Stephen Cunningham, of Rolla, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 56.
He was born in Syracuse, New York on August 22, 1961 to David and Mary (Wakeford) Cunningham.
On April 25, 1998 he married Minerva “Minnie” Espinoza, who survives.
Mark graduated from Rolla High School, class of 1979. He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
Among his many interests were his expensive boy toys including motorcycles, guns and knives. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter James Wakeford and grandparents, Ray and Hattie Cunningham.
Mark will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He walks by their side and will be in their hearts forever. His surviving family members include his wife, Minnie Cunningham, of the home; his parents, David and Mary Cunningham, of Rolla; sister, Linda Cunningham, of Rolla; stepchildren, Alberto Vasqez and Veronica Delafuentes, both of Brownsville, TX; nephew, Sgt. Kyle Lunsford, of Rolla; cousins, Cynthia Cunningham and Garland Sears, both of El Reno, OK; aunts, uncles, other extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Mark Cunningham will be held at 7 pm Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
Mark was an animal lover, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rolla Animal Shelter.
