Obituary for Phillip Cecil Mowatt

Phillip Cecil Mowatt, of Rolla, MO, formerly of Barre, VT, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the age of 80.
He was born on July 5, 1938 in Barre, VT to the late Thomas Mowatt and Alberta (Sweet) Mowatt. On July 26, 1958 he married Florence (Phillips) Mowatt in Barre, VT. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2010.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee (Mowatt) Woods; six brothers, Thomas, Robert, Alexander, James, Joseph and Ralph; a half-brother, Raymond Pellon; and a brother-in-law, Harold Duff.
Phillip served in the Air National Guard during Vietnam. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Phillip was an avid Bingo caller and player. He lovingly dotted on his wife and served as a shining example of how a husband should treat his wife.
Phillip will be sadly missed by his surviving family which includes: one son, CW4(R) Phillip Clair Mowatt and wife Jackie of Rolla, MO; one sister, Alexina (Toni) Forrend and husband Robert of Berlin, VT; a sister-in-law, Betty (Phillips) Duff of Trow Hill, VT; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Stewart and husband Rick, Jake Mowatt and wife Megan, Patrick Sutton and Alexandra Sutton; and two great grandchildren, Leo Stewart and Wyatt Stewart.
A graveside service for Phillip C. Mowatt will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Barre, VT.
